BRUGGE: Waterzooi, the velvety dish of Flanders

Dear sports fans,

Brugge is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. No matter how many times you visit it, it is a given that you will want to return as soon as possible to discover every treasure it hides.

Belgium has its reasons to be proud of its medieval city, in which the picturesque canals flow and in combination with the cobbled streets and the magnificent architecture create images taken from fairy tales.

Brugge is also famous for its wonderful Flemish cuisine that you will fall in love with and miss when you return to your homeland.

Waterzooi is one of the most wonderful dishes of the local cuisine. Local chefs describe it as their culinary “jewel”!

It is a soup – stew that has a wonderful creamy taste and is made with chicken or fish.

When served it looks like a velvet in a deep dish. It is an image that will captivate you and take you on a journey to the Middle Ages.

The land and the sea are combined to a very great extent in Waterzooi. Welcome to one of the most characteristic dishes of Flemish cuisine. Taste it!
