You have to try pfefferpotthast. It is a traditional meat stew hailing. It consists of pieces of beef with onions,vegetables, spices, and herbs. Usually accompanied by pickled gherkins, Salzkartoffeln (salt potatoes) and beetroots. Taste Nieheimer Kase (this cheese is made from low-fat sour cow’s milk). You can find excellent restaurants and bars in the center and in every neighborhood of the city. Of course, you must try local beers.
