Be sure to order Karbonade. It is reminiscent of Austrian schnitzel and is usually served with creamy mushrooms, seasoned potatoes and dill to provide a special aroma.
It is also accompanied by cabbage, pickles and bread! Many consider it the rival of Viennese schnitzel. We assure you, however, that it is a pounded pork coated with flour and breadcrumbs that, after frying, has a golden color that will “invite” you to eat it.
You will make a big mistake if you leave the Latvian capital and do not taste one of the most beautiful dishes.
Of course, you should accompany it with a beer, a glass of wine or a refreshing soft drink.
