TSC ARENA

It is not a big stadium, but the only 4,500 fans who fill the stands are capable of creating a fantastic football atmosphere. It opened in 2021 and is one of the most modern stadiums in Serbia. It is state-of-the-art and provides everything for footballers, coaches, team members, journalists and fans. It is located in an idyllic location, next to Gradski Park and nearby there is a tennis court.

It was inaugurated in 2002 as a subsidiary of the Municipal Museum of Subotica and is housed in the former castle of the Kray family. The museum’s collection includes archaeological, biological, ethnological, historical, geological, plant and artistic exhibits from the area of Batska Topola.

We would recommend you to visit a place where the Aleksandrović family reached very high levels of wine production.

It is one of the largest parks in the city that will offer you peace, relaxation and a quiet walk.

*** ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (Nikole Tesle 26, Bačka Topola 24300)

The Neo-Gothic style church dates from 1906 and is considered one of the most beautiful in Serbia. See the 72.7m high tower that stands out.

*** KONJARSTVA MUSEUM

About 5-10 minutes drive from the center of Bačka Topola there is the Equestrian Museum in Zobnatica which will impress you. It opened in 1896.

*** KING’S WINERY

Tour a historic winery and see machinery from the last century, a historic cellar, more modern machinery and the whole history of winemaking.

*** ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY GREAT MARTYR GEORGE I MAUSOLEUM OF THE KARADORDEVIC DYNASTY (Bulevar vožda Karađorđa 19, Topola 34310)

It is an impressive complex that includes a memorial church, a mausoleum, vineyards and royal houses.

*** PILOT ZORAN TOMITCH

It is a monument in honor of the pilot Zoran Tomić who lost his life while carrying out a combat mission with the aircraft you will see on the spot.

*** KALVARIJA (Staromoravički put 32, Bačka Topola)

It is at the highest point in the city and is dedicated to Golgotha of the New Testament, built in 1797. The pillars and the chapel were built towards the end of the 19th century.

*** We would definitely recommend you to visit Subotica for a few hours which is about half an hour away by car from Backa Topola.

*** If you have time, visit Novi Sad which is about 40 minutes away.

*** Оplenac should be one of your main choices during your stay in Backa Topola.

FOOD AND DRINK

Serbian cuisine is amazing. It has influences from French, although some argue that French has influences from Serbian! The bottom line is that you will eat amazing dishes of traditional delicacies in every corner of the city. Traditional foods you can taste are cepavi, pljeskavica, karadordeva snicla, sarma, stuffed pork loin, muckalica, and sausages. We would recommend you to try the chorba soup as well. If you want a street food, then definitely try the traditional Gibanika. The traditional drink is rakija, but of course you can pair your food with wine and local beer.
