It is a stadium designed by the architectural office Estudio Lamela that had been involved in the expansion of the “Estadio Santiago Bernabeu” in Madrid. It is the oldest museum institution in Europe, it was founded in 1944 in the former German concentration camp and honors the memory of the victims of the Second World War.
*** LUBLIN CASTLE (Zamkowa 1, 20-100 Lublin)
It was built in the first half of the 14th century by Casimir the Great and was, among other things, the place of the parliamentary session. Due to the wars it was demolished in the 18th century and you can see now the 13th century Romanesque tower, the Gothic chapel of the Holy Trinity and a part of the Gothic tower. Of course, also see one of the oldest preserved royal residences in Poland, Zamek w Lublinie.

It was built in the 13th century as a sign of gratitude for the victory of Saint Michael the Archangel against the Yotvingians. It has historical significance because a huge tower was built there in the 15th century. The parish church was demolished in 1857.

It is one of the symbols of the city and dates back to 1341. The gate is named after the route that leads from Krakow through Lublin to Vilnius. It was an observation point and the residence of the city’s watchmaker.

FOOD AND DRINK
Try traditional food. The pork is of course in the foreground. Try chłodnik litewski, Kapuśniak (two wonderful vegetable soups) pierogi, golonka and accompany pyry z gzikiem or to pyzy which are boiled or baked potatoes. Of course taste the traditional Polish soups zurek, chlodnik or bigos. Be sure to try Bigos, traditional Tripe (delicate beef giblets), Zrazy which is a meat dish, Kotlet schabowy. For street food eat zapiekanka. Lublin is also famous for r acuchy pancakes and cebularz lubelski. Accompany your meal with traditional beer or mulled wine. Restaurants that have Mediterranean, Arabic, Asian and American cuisine can be found in every corner of the city.
