FOOD AND DRINK

Before heading to the exquisite cuisine of Turin, we would suggest you first make a stop at Café Al Bicerin to enjoy a wonderful chocolate drink. The city is famous for its chocolate production. When it comes to food, risotto al Barolo and risotto ai funghi with porcini mushrooms have incredible taste. You can also find them with local cheeses, vegetables and fish. Try the Venere Nero black rice and you will not miss it. Also try Bagna Càuda which is a hot dish made from anchovies and garlic. Of course, Agnolotti pasta stuffed with grilled meat or vegetables is also a traditional food. We would recommend you to try Fritto misto alla Piemontese, which is fried meat and includes liver, brain, sweets, sausage, all breaded in batter and can even be accompanied by fruit. Since you are in Italy, pizza should also be one of your main choices. Beer and wine are your best accompaniment.
