It was opened in 2016 and is the “jewel” of the city. Its capacity is 4,183 seats and it meets UEFA specifications to host international matches. It’s a nice little stadium that provides everything for the guests (fans, players, members of football teams) and it’s no coincidence that UEFA decided to give the OK to host their matches. Nearby you will find Testvérvárosok Park, restaurants and a sports complex.

MEZOKOVESD: TOO FULL OF HISTORY
Over the centuries it has been a point of reference in the history of the country. It was inhabited by the Great Migration and since the 13th century it has been one of the cities that have left an indelible mark. It became a royal estate towards the end of the 18th century and most of its Jewish inhabitants were murdered by the Nazis in World War II. Historically it is considered one of the most interesting cities in Hungary that is worth discovering.

It is worth visiting the ruins of the castle that belonged to King Sigismund of Luxembourg from 1387 and then became the property of the queen.

The cuisine of Mezokovesd will be unforgettable. Be sure to try their traditional dishes such as chicken paprikash, hungarian goulash, fish soup halászlé, lecsó (vegetable stew), stuffed cabbage leaves, meat stew and traditional pasta. For street food, the locals offer you langos, hot dogs with chips and the traditional sweet Kurtoskalacs. The traditional drink of Hungary is Unicum liqueur, but it is drunk as a digestive. Accompany your food with local beer or wine.
