In 1953, the specific stadium was built for the first time, which over the years and after being reconstructed in 2011, took its final shape after several renovations, so that it meets UEFA’s specifications. Its capacity is 10,423 seats. It has hosted top UEFA club competitions and official or friendly matches of the Bulgarian National Football Team. It is considered one of the most modern and functional stadiums in the Balkans, despite its relatively small capacity.

Once you are in Razgrad, we would recommend making the 40-minute road trip to Sveshtari to see the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It dates from the 3rd century BC. and is a rare example of the culture of the historical Thracian race of the Getae.

In Razgrad you will find many restaurants with excellent cuisine and with meat in the foreground. Of course, taste the traditional dishes such as the classic tarator soup, panagyurski poached eggs, sarmi, shkembe, moussaka and mish mash. We would recommend you to eat the beed sudzhuk as well as the banitsa which is a traditional cheese pie. Razgrad has many traditional Bulgarian taverns, but also restaurants with cuisines from all over the world (Asian, European, American, Latin American). Drink the traditional wines and beers, while we would also recommend you to try the rakia which is the trademark of Bulgarian drinks.

In Razgrad the number of hotels or apartments is limited and you can find accommodation in the city center up to 7-8 kilometers outside the center.
