VIENNA: The favorite café of Sigmund Freud and Princess Sissi

Dear sports fans,

Vienna is a wonderful city that will enchant you with its magnificent architecture of buildings from past centuries, its rich history and its unforgettable culinary “power”.

For centuries it was a place that was the haunt of leading figures of Austrian and world history.

In the city center there is a café that is a trademark of Vienna.

It was one of the favorite haunts of Princess Elisabeth of Austria or Princess Sissi (1837 – 1898).

This is Café Central, which opened in 1876 and over the decades great poets, writers, politicians and painters have passed through.

On the menu you will find the sweet that Princess Sissy loved, which contained rum among other things.

It was also for many years one of the favorite haunts of the famous neurologist and psychiatrist Sigmund Freud (1856 – 1939). Also, the Soviet revolutionary Leon Trotsky used to enjoy his breakfast or lunch at this particular Café.

The menu includes classic Viennese dishes, coffees for all tastes and most people prefer to drink their coffee accompanied by one or two of the wonderful sweets offered by the Café.
