VIENNA: Experience the magic in the home of Johann Strauß

Dear sports fans,

Sports have a lot in common with music. A football match is an explosion of images on the pitch and sounds from the stands. A game touches the hearts of the spectators. The same goes for music.

Vienna, which is one of the most football-loving and artistic cities, has many places to visit and experience the lifestyle of leading personalities up close.

The legendary composer Johann Strauß (1825-1899) lived in Vienna and wrote his greatest masterpieces in the Austrian capital. Who doesn’t know one of his legendary compositions, the waltz “Blue Danube”?

We would recommend you to visit the apartment where he lived and wrote his masterpieces. It is located at Praterstraße 54, 1020 Wien and now operates as a museum.

He lived in this apartment from the mid-1860s to the early 1870s.

You will have the opportunity to see various personal belongings of the great composer.

Autographed manuscripts, photographs, musical instruments, documents, scores, the piano that Bösendorfer gave him in 1896, his desk and much more.
