The “Hall of Fame – Hristo Stoichkov” is waiting for you to see the life of the leading Bulgarian football player up close.

There you will enjoy the trophies that Stoichkov won in his career. You will also see jerseys of his opponents and autographed jerseys or shoes of legends of football and other sports. You will learn stories about his personal life, how he started playing football and for the obstacles he overcame to reach the top.

Bulgaria honored in the best way one of the athletes who in the past glorified the country and made it more famous around the world.

Stoichkov was born on February 8, 1966 and started his career with a team from Plovdiv, Maritsa Plovdiv.

He then went through various Bulgarian teams (FC Yuriy Gagarin, Hebros Harmanli), moved in 1984 to the legendary CSKA Sofia and in 1990 was transferred to Barcelona.

He stayed at Camp Nou for five years and in 1995 he was transferred to Parma. A year later he returned to Barcelona and until the end of his career he played for CSKA Sofia, Al Nassr, Kashiwa Reysol, Chicago Fire and DC United.

He had dozens of appearances with the Bulgarian national football team, with which he took 4th place in the 1994 FIFA World Cup held in the USA. In this event, he was the top scorer with 6 goals.

In 1994 he won the Ballon d’Or and had many personal awards. He then pursued a coaching career.

The “Hall of Fame – Hristo Stoichkov” is located in the MOBI ART Building (Hladilnika, Srebarna St 2, 1407 Sofia).
