SIBIU: Don’t lie, the bridge will collapse!

Dear sports fans,

One of the most beautiful cities in Romania and the Balkans is Sibiu. The architecture of the buildings is straight out of the finest fairy tales and the urban legends about each attraction are beyond any imaginative screenwriter.

In Sibiu there is a place where if you lie there it will collapse and you will fall down! So says the urban legend of the Romanian city.

The Bridge of Lies was built in 1859 and the legends says that if you lie, the iron bridge will collapse!

Others say it won’t collapse, but you’ll feel a crunch in your legs like an earthquake!

Some others argue that it was called the Bridge of Lies because the young lovers swear to each other that they will be together for the rest of their lives.

Some others have come up with another myth. That the name of the bridge came from the merchants lying about what they were selling and if they were selling in the area.

It’s nice to hear the legends behind the bridge’s history, but it’s actually nicer to walk on it.

The beautiful decoration, the aura it gives off, the neo-Gothic geometric elements and its general construction with the four pedestals at its end create an impressive image.

Many young couples in love choose the bridge to even propose. After all, it is offered as an image to make such beautiful movements.
