Prague is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations. Especially during the Christmas season, the capital of the Czech Republic is magical!
The Municipality of Prague has announced that the Christmas markets are open from November 30, 2024 to January 6, 2025. Opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and admission is free.
They will be open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The most famous Christmas markets are located in the Old Town Square (Staroměstské Náměstí) and Václavské Náměstí.
You will also find nice Christmas markets near Charles Bridge in Na Kampě Square, Náměstí Republiky, Havelské Τržiště (opening hours 06.00 – 18.30), Náměstí Míru, Tylovo Náměstí.
Prague’s Christmas markets are among the most beautiful in the world. Log cabins, wonderful lights, local Christmas delicacies, handicrafts, souvenirs, puppets, ceramics, utensils, various toys and embroidery are prominently located in the markets.
The foods offered are local sausages, breads with garlic, cheese and ketchup, pasta, crepes, grilled ham, fish soup, cakes, etc. Of course, you should taste the traditional Trdelník.
For a drink we would recommend the members’ wine or a hot chocolate.
