Dear sports fans,
Paris offers you rich images that will remain indelibly etched in your mind for years.
Every neighborhood has its charm. But there are also certain neighborhoods that will take you back in time.
One of the magical neighborhoods of the French capital is Le Marais located between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements. Place des Vosges is also home to the house where the iconic French writer Victor Hugo (1802-1885) lived. His home had been turned into a museum. On the second floor is the apartment where Victor Hugo lived and on the first floor various exhibitions are organized.
Walk through the neighborhood where the French writer walked and you’ll soak up some of its brilliance!
Le Marais is considered one of the most artistic neighborhoods of Paris and for this reason it is also called “Old Paris”.
It’s no exaggeration that this particular neighborhood is the closest there is to understanding what Paris looked like during the Middle Ages.
Stroll the cobbled streets, navigate the winding streets that lead to hidden “treasures” and courtyards that will take you back in time!
In the 17th century it was the favorite area of artists and aristocrats. For this reason you will see some museums housed in impressive mansions.
The aromas from the croissants and the delicious food of the restaurants, the live music from street artists, the bohemian charm that the atmosphere exudes and the combination of the medieval and the modern era rank Le Marais in one of the most important areas of Paris.
There you will also find the Carnavalet Museum housed in a 16th century Renaissance mansion. In this particular museum you will find over 600 thousand works that tell the history of Paris.
