LONDON: The magic of William Shakespeare at the Globe Theatre

Dear sports fans,

We would recommend that your presence in London not only be combined with a sporting event, but also to experience the magic of the theaters of the British capital.

The Globe Theater will take you on a journey to William Shakespeare’s London. It was first built in 1599 by the Lord Chamberlain’s Men who were Shakespeare’s group.

After the disastrous fire of 1613 it was rebuilt in 1614 and remained open until 1642. It is of historical importance because many of Shakespeare’s plays were presented to the public for the first time on the stage of the Globe Theatre.

In 1997, its modern reconstruction was completed, which is largely reminiscent of the Theater of 1599.

You can take the tour of the Theater and learn everything about its history.

Learn the secrets of London at that time, travel back four centuries, learn about how the theater survived the Plague in the 17th century and much more about the magic of Shakespeare and that time.

Since 1997 Shakespeare’s Globe has not only presented plays by Shakespeare, but also by many leading playwrights.

Visit the official website of the Theater to find out about the theatrical performances.
