LONDON: Churchill War Rooms, the secret headquarters in World War II

Dear sports fans,

London offers culture, museums, theater performances, impressive sights, a wide variety for your culinary pleasures, but also the possibility to experience important historical events after decades.

The Churchill War Rooms are the secret underground headquarters for the core of the British government during World War II.

The former Prime Minister of England, Winston Churchill spent several hours in the basement of a building in Whitehall, which was the space for the cabinet during the war.

It was where all the important decisions were made and he held one-on-one discussions with the heads of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

From 1940 to 1945 it was the secret headquarters of the British government.

It is worth visiting the places where everything about World War II was recorded. From the advance of the Germans in Russia to their gradual retreat and the atmosphere of Churchill’s discussions with the military.

The spaces remain unchanged over time. You’ll see military maps, valuable artifacts, period devices, and more.

Churchill War Rooms is located on King Charles St, London SW1A 2AQ. It is open every day from 9.30am to 6.00pm.
