HELSINKI: The Sports Museum of Finland awaits you!

Dear sports fans,

Helsinki is a wonderful city to explore its sights and taste the wonderful delicacies.

However, it is also a city that loves sports. Let’s not forget that in 1952 it had hosted the Olympic Games.

At the Helsinki Olympic Stadium you will find the Sports Museum of Finland known as TAHTO.

You can find artifacts and exhibits from thousands of years ago to the most recent personal belongings of the country’s top sports figures.

For example Kimi Räikkönen has donated to the museum several items from his personal collection and prizes won during his F1 career.

Ice hockey fans will also find plenty of artefacts, and there is a wealth of photographic material from the late 19th century to the present day.

The collection is huge from all sports. It is also worth visiting the area that is extremely dedicated to the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games. The great event will be revived in front of you with rich footage from the opening ceremony to the closing ceremony.
