Dear sports fans,
Dublin is one of the most beautiful cities to explore and discover its every treasure. The bars, the sights, the museums, the imposing churches and the delicious food combine geometrically and create an ideal place to combine sporting events with a refined tourism.
If you have time, we would recommend you to make the road trip to the town of Trim in County Meath, Ireland. It is located about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the center of Dublin.
It will be an impressive experience to visit Trim Castle, which was used, among others, for the needs of the epic movie “Braveheart” of 1995 starring Mel Gibson.
The castle is listed as a National Monument in County Meath and dates back to the 12th and 13th centuries.
Over the centuries, and after suffering some damage, the necessary work was carried out to open it to the public.
In the film “Braveheart”, Trim Castle was presented as the walled city of York.
