BUCHAREST: The Museum of Football will enchant you

Especially for football fans it is a first-class opportunity to get to know everything about the history of Romanian football.

The Football Museum is located in the old town and there you will meet one of the best Romanian football players the country has produced, Gheorghe Popescu.

Popescu was born on October 9, 1967 and has played for Universitatea Craiova, Steaua Bucharest, PSV, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Galatasaray, Lecce, Dinamo Bucharest and Hannover 96. He is the captain of the museum and during your visit you may have the opportunity to chat with him.

Tour the museum’s 1,500 sq.m. and you will learn everything about Romanian football.

You will find hundreds of items and exhibits, jerseys, shoes, balls, ticket stubs, trophies, etc.

Also, a prominent place in the museum is a jersey of Ronaldo from the Brazilian National Team and of Diego Armando Maradona when he played football in Barcelona.
