Barcelona will delight you with its museums, delicious cuisine and the warmth of the locals.
Of course, it is a city that loves sports, as it has teams that compete in all team sports.
However, it is also worth visiting a museum that will take you on a journey through the history of the Olympic Games.
The Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sport Museum, located in front of the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium on Montjuïc Hill, is the ideal choice for anyone who loves sports and especially the history of sports.
The museum was named after Juan Antonio Samaranch (1920-2010), because he served as president of the IOC from 1980 to 2001 and played a decisive role in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.
There you will find various exhibits related to the world’s top sporting event.
You will also have the opportunity to feel like a member of the Olympic Games with the various interactive games hosted in the museum.
