In Barcelona the locals eat it as a dessert after a meal. This is the traditional Catalan dessert loved by the residents of Barcelona and the tourists who order it.
It’s called “Crema Catalana” and could be described as the Spanish version of the French creme brûlée.
What makes Crema Catalana special is the caramelized and crunchy layer on top and the delicious cream that will seduce your palate.
