Romanian cuisine is excellent and we would recommend you to eat traditional dishes in Craiova’s restaurants or taverns. Sarmale cabbage dumplings, mititei which are like burgers, traditional soups (Ciorbă de Perisoare, Ciorba de fasole cu ciolan, Ciorba de burta), schnitzel, polenta with cheese and cream, carp brine and pork feast are some of the dishes to try. As a campus that also accepts students from abroad, there are also many restaurants with cuisines that are influenced by the Mediterranean, Asia and the USA. Try the traditional wines and beers to accompany your food.
