It is the trademark of the city. It is located at the highest point of Skopje and according to historians, it was inhabited for the first time in prehistoric times and then around the 7th to 6th century BC.

Opinions differ as to when it was built. Some support the 6th century after the devastating earthquake of 518 and some others the period of the Ottoman Empire after 1451 and 1469. It is a beautiful bridge and one of the most photographed spots in the city.

Try Sarma, Burek, Tavche Gravce which is made of the best-baked beans, Ohridska Pastmka, Musaka, Kacamak and the traditional Kebabs. You should definitely try the local Pastrmajlija pizza and the Turlitava stew. For dessert try Baklava, Ravanija and Tatlija. Local drinks are Rakija or Mastic. Accompany your food with beer or wine.
