NAPLES: The world’s first pizzeria!

Naples is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy that is worth exploring at least once in your life.

Naples has another peculiarity that makes it more special than the rest of the cities in the country!

In 1738, the first pizzeria in the world opened! Initially, it was opened as a kiosk with street vendors. Almost a century later, it opened as a regular pizzeria on Via Port’Alba 18.

This is the Antica Pizzeria Port’Alba, which is one of the top choices for all travelers.

Three centuries ago, however, it was the meeting point for young men and women. There they spent a lot of their free time, eating the first pizzas ever released in the world!

Over the years, several artists had the Antica Pizzeria Port’Alba as their hangout.

The people of Naples were so excited about the opening of the first pizzeria that they even wrote songs and poems in its honor!

The pizzas are still made in ovens lined with lava rocks from Vesuvius.

We would recommend you to visit it and we are sure that you will have a great time. The pizzas you will eat will be unforgettable.
