Dear sports fans,

Those of you who are lovers of architectural wonders and innovations, then you should definitely visit the Holy Spirit Church in Paks.
It is a newly built church. It was consecrated in the summer of 1990 and at Christmas 1991 the temple and the surrounding area were completed.

This is an ecclesiastical piece of art that you won’t find anywhere else. The way it’s built is like it’s emerging from the earth.
The more observant find that the back side of the temple refers to a huge face that has two large eyes. Others claim it reminds them of an overturned boat!

Every corner of the church is also a separate story. The angel of light and the angel of darkness will greet you at the entrance.

The glass roof creates a special feeling. The floor plan has two symmetrical S symbols that highlight the balance and contrasts of the wasteland.

A Sun and a Moon are on the tops of the tower to create the contrast we mentioned above and if you look down on the church then you will see that the roof forms a heart.

The architect Imre Makovecz strongly put his personal element that somehow he wants his buildings to resemble humans!

The Holy Spirit Church is one of the first places tourists visit. And the locals are proud of one of the most beautiful temples that exist in Hungary and in all of Europe.

They are right to brag, of course, because it is an impressive architecture.
