*** NETANYA CITY MUSEUM (MacDonald St 3, Netanya)

If you want to know the History of the city, then visit this particular museum which is the landmark place to learn everything about Netanya. It is located in a building created as a weaving workshop for blind girls.

*** THE WELL HOUSE MUSEUM (Sokolov St 17, Netanya)

It opened in 1928 and is a remnant of the Pardes Hagdud farm. See the restored well with the restored water pump and enjoy the local exhibitions.

*** VICTORY MONUMENT (Sderot Oved Ben Ami, Netanya)

The monument is dedicated to the victory of the Red Army over Nazi Germany on the shores of Netanya. It is a place of remembrance for the Jewish people.

Netanya has many beaches and all of them are extremely beautiful. In this particular one there is a transparent elevator that leads to the beach and it is considered one of the most beautiful in Israel, without of course negating the beauty of the rest of the city’s beaches which are equally dazzling.

*** ZANZ BEACH

Another great beach to visit. This one even has separate gender swimming for the extremely religious.

*** WINTER LAKE PARK

The small lake is created by the winter rains and is actually a special phenomenon of nature, as its life depends on how often it rains in the city. Here you will find various species that depend on the lake water. Also admire the eucalyptus trees that have been planted since the 19th century.

***  INTERACTIVE ATZMAUT SQUARE

The City Council turned the square into a tourist attraction. There you can engage in interactive games, mobile apps, sound, light events and water games thanks to the fountain that is there, while the huge metal ball includes a hidden water screen. It is a square with a strong element of high technology.

*** IRIS RESERVE

In Netanya there are irises, these rare types of flowers and this area is one of the most important attractions in the months of February and March.

ΤΗINGS TO DO

*** One of the first things you should do is a walk along the coastal promenades. Walk from the northern to the southern neighborhoods.

*** The beaches you must visit are Blue Bay, Ha-Onot, Amphi, Hertzel, Poleg and Lagoon.

*** If you like art, then The Cliff Gallery is a great choice.

*** Walk the length of Herzl Street and see the wonderful graffiti paintings on buildings along the street.

*** Visit Wagon or Train Car WW 2 built in Germany to transport cattle and eventually used by the Germans to transport thousands of people to death camps during WWII. Brought to Netanya by the city’s Municipality, it is located in the Beit Yad La Banim complex and is essentially one of the pieces of evidence for the extermination of millions of Jews by the Nazis.

FOOD AND DRINK

Netanya is considered one of the culinary paradises of Israel. In particular, it is the ideal place to taste Jewish delicacies. Hummus, falafel, hummus, msabbaha, saksuka, burekas, couscous must be tried. We would also recommend ordering tahini consisting of sesame paste, tomatoes and onions, as well as lamb shawarma. Since Netanya is a beach town, you realize that you will find many fish and seafood restaurants, with shrimp and mullet being the specialties of most chefs.
