Baku is a constantly evolving destination and is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe for alternative tourism.

Not far from the Palace of Shirvanshahs you will find the most special book museum in the world.

In the heart of the Old City of Baku visit the Museum of Miniature Books with about 8,000 printed publications from 76 different countries.

The dimensions of the books are so small that to read some of them you may even need a magnifying glass.

They resemble pocket books, while some have the dimensions of a postage stamp!

It is no coincidence that this particular museum, due to its specialty with miniature books, entered the Guinness Book of Records. It was considered the museum with the most miniature books in the world.

You will find an ancient Koran from 1672, amazing collections from the 19th century and much more that you would not imagine you would come across in such a museum.

One useful piece of information: Entry is free and you don’t need to pay a ticket.

The museum is open from 11 am to 6 pm every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Monday and Thursday is closed.

Many important personalities have visited this particular museum, as it has developed into one of the most important attractions of Baku and Azerbaijan in general.
