FOOD AND DRINK

Aarhus cuisine is delicious with many gourmet recipes. Be sure to try the smørrebrød which is an open rye bread sandwich topped with a variety of toppings and served with herring, salmon, shellfish, eggs, raw beef and more. You can eat the special Danish hot dog, but also the traditional Æbleflæsk, smushi, kartofler, stegt flæsk med persillesovs, frikadeller, flæskesteg and karbonader. Of course you can find other cuisines to taste from the Mediterranean, Asia, Africa, USA and Latin America. It goes without saying that you should accompany your food with a nice glass of wine or one of the local beers.
